Kids & Youth
At Totnes United Free there are a number of ways 11-18 year olds can engage with us and get involved. With monthly groups and Sunday gatherings, we offer social spaces as well as spaces for our young people to learn and grow in their faith.
Our Youth Team is passionate about encouraging and empowering young people. We are also an outward- looking team who love to get involved in our community.
My child is not a Christian, can they still get involved?
Yes definitely, we love welcoming young people from all backgrounds and all beliefs. We believe the church should be inclusive not exclusive. All young people must have a consent form filled out (one for each child) before coming - or pick one up on the door. All personal information is confidential and kept under lock and key and is destroyed if the young person no longer attends the group.
How do I sign my child up for mentoring?
Email our Youth Worker, Paul at youth@totnesuitedfree.org.uk. He will request a face-to-face meeting with the parents and young person to talk about what is offered and if referral to an expert is needed. You will also need to sign a consent form which will be given to you at the meeting.
What are your safeguarding policies?
We take safeguarding very seriously at TUFC. Our policy is based on the Baptist Union guidelines on safeguarding. Please see Baptist union safeguarding policy on the Safeguarding Page. We also have a safeguarding team who you can contact if you have any concerns.
