A Church Family in the Heart of Totnes

Kids & Youth

Here at Totnes United Free Church we are blessed to have young families as part of the church, and it's a joy to see them celebrate Jesus at their Sunday groups and the monthly All Age service.
On Sunday mornings we have age-specific groups alongside the adult worship meeting. The children enjoy games, stories, craft, and other fun activities. Our experienced children’s ministry team supports our younger ones to encounter the love of God for themselves and to form deep and lasting friendships.

We also run a Tots' Praise session on a Monday morning, and this is mostly non church families who attend. Our Living Room cafe on a Thursday has space for children to play, and grown ups to chat.

We mark the seasons with fun outreach events such as Summer fun, Christingle and Light Party at Halloween.

Twice a week we provide and serve breakfast at the local comprehensive school, and run a weekly lunch club at Harbertonford Primary school as well as lead assemblies.

At Totnes United Free there are a number of ways 11-18 year olds can engage with us and get involved. With monthly groups and Sunday gatherings, we offer social spaces as well as spaces for our young people to learn and grow in their faith.

Our Youth Team is passionate about encouraging and empowering young people. We are also an outward- looking team who love to get involved in our community.

My child is not a Christian, can they still get involved?

Yes definitely, we love welcoming young people from all backgrounds and all beliefs. We believe the church should be inclusive not exclusive. All young people must have a consent form filled out (one for each child) before coming - or pick one up on the door. All personal information is confidential and kept under lock and key and is destroyed if the young person no longer attends the group.
